A Return to Classicalism

5/30--You may wonder why this article is in the "are you crying?" section. This is because I am crying. I'm advocating a return to BBL classicalism. New stadiums? New players? New games? WHO THE HELL IS KEVIN KERBY?  What happened to the classic days of the BBL in Slater Stadium? Weinbaum Waterfronts? What the hell is that? Does Scott Weinbaun even own a house? I think not! Many people including a possibly corrupt commissioner, who will not be named, are advocating these new changes. Why? Because their records on the new field was impeccable. Where are the trees to block to home run? When did they inform the league of these new changes? Where in the rulebook does it give the commissioner to arbitrarily change the game in the middle of the season? Do these new changes amount to much needed progressivism in the BBL or heresy? I think the latter though those whose records were affected beneficially by these changes would argue otherwise. This amounts to none other than a conflict of interest. According to the Province of British Columbia (a Canadian Province) "the Members Conflict of Interest Act stipulates that a Member of the Legislative Assembly must not be involved in a decision during the course of public duties with the knowledge that there is an opportunity to further the Members private interests." In other words the commissioner had no legal right to change locales. For now I remain restlessly advocating a lonely case, looking for support. Those who agree with all that the BBL and Canada stand for should back me up.

"Can I Get Some Run Support?"

6/22--Jared Davis may be known for his temper and occasional crying fits but it has become more and more apparent to this reporter that he has good reason.  It seems that no matter who Davis allies himself with, they never come through for him.  For example, even though Davis went something to the extent of 6/7 on June 21st, Mike Aronchik, a batter soon after him went a more than unimpressive 0/7 with 7 strikeouts.  Davis was quoted as saying "When there is no Dynasty, I have no teammates that 'know how to play'".  Davis' numbers impress everybody. Bur come on people, give the All-Star some run support.

Should the rules of weekly MVP change???

6/10--Through out the Backyard baseball season, the MVP has been chosen on stats and if they were the best players in that week. (BORING) and not cool. Backyard baseball should change the MVP rule to the following: players should not be voted on just performances during games, it should be based on the most memorable moments. Come on, some one would remember Cener pantsing Kofsky on first base for a long time to come, rather then Matt Slaters game winning double, out of like 16 games. Its just better to have a more wide opening for all people to get the backyard MVP, seriously its not that special. And if people get competitive or are actually proud of getting it, they should and will be slaughtered by my hand. So change the rules of the MVP, make it fun!!!
